Hot Chicks Equals More Clicks

Ran a small experiment with advertising. Whenever there is a hot chick next to one of my ads, clicks tripled.

Its amazing.

 

lol very interesting. Maybe the vision of the chick sends the user into a frenzy and they can't think straight so they click on anything. lol Who knows....

How did you conduct the test? What size were the tests?

Have you tried using different chicks?

They most likely thought they could see more of the girl if they clicked an ad

If it was Adsense I wonder if they'd consider that a breach of the TOS.

 

No they won't if you have a separation between the ads and the pictures.

 

I will take it a step farther - I bet you get a lot more clicks on your sig link just becasue people think there are hot chicks on your sig site!

firefly yes I know its ok with the separation but I guess "separation" is relative. If they feel the pics are having an impact on the CTR they might not like it.

 

LMAO... well the fact is sex sells and curiosity is empowering. I've noticed usually on most social network, the top posts of the day usually consist of one or two sexual induced title. Creative marketing at work here no doubt.

This is so funny cos just today I got an email to look at a great website (I'm a member of loads of ezines and lists). On it was a hot chick and audio from her telling everyone to buy her course and here was the money she was making. However the site is registered to the 'internet guru' Mark Jenney. So he obviously also uses the hot chick...more sales route!

 

Sex sells and there is no doubt about that, hope you are not using it with Adsense else you could be banned for breaching the tos.

 

Hot chicks on ads = even higher clicks! This is pretty common if you haven't noticed it around the net..

for a couple of weeks and compared to the two weeks prior the click thru was 3-4 times as high!

yeah, I gave up though because it is a waste of keywords when I try to get ranked at the same time
