Directory owners beware: potential fraudulent submission

On 1/31, Toner Boss . com was submitted to a couple of my directories, and approximately three months later, they issued a credit card chargeback for all those submissions. I've sent email to the submitter to see if there is any error and tried to resolve this issue, but no email back for a couple of days so far.

He did several chargebacks to us, we are fighting it.

I have sent emails to customer service and to the paypal email address and did not receive a response. Also didn't see any bounce backs, which if the paypal account used was a fraud, you would think the paypal email address would bounce.

Also Tonerboss hired an SEO company see Benny Adeva (the president) testimonial http://www.cybertegic.com/testimonials.htm

 

Very bad indeed. I just don't know what he want! Most probably he thinks he does not need links again as the linksjuice you were giving has already been used by him for PR.

I would suggest to fight the chargeback through Paypal.

I am wondering though, if they don't correct the charges, the power we could all have by changing the detail page to include something like that

Hesitant to do it now, because we are fighting the reversal, but if it falls through, perhaps a good thing.

Or would the links to the site just help with their SERPS and sales. I would rather hurt them in the sales department.

I got the same chargebacks. Submitted on 1/23/07 and charged back on 4/13/07.

 

thanks for the headsup , such scammers seem pretty common nowdays , only if we as a community can help each other make ourself aware and empowered can we really teach them a lesson.

I Got chargeback as well and I am fighting it. I hope everyone who is fighting the chargeback win. Hope paypal close his account.
