Satellite TV on PC Site For Sale - Fantastic URL

I am selling my PC Satellite TV site.

The site has unique header/navigational graphics (I can verify this - I made them :) ), and sells a guide demonstrating how to watch virtually any Live Sporting Event, Current Film, TV Show, Documentary etc etc.

The site does NOT sell 3rd party software, and there are no copyright issues.

The site sells a complete PDF guide to accessing the best in satellite television broadcasts online...focusing especially on the UK soccer hungry mass market, but includes access to films, cartoons, documentaries, adult tv and more.

The guide, which sells for UK £7.95 (approx $15) is completely unbranded, and will carry over full ownership rights to the buyer.

The 7 letter .COM URL contains no filler, and is stuffed with 3 killer search terms for this niche:

    SKY
    TV
    PC

    .COM

    URL

Now - I've done absolutely no SEO optimization on this site whatsoever, but with 3 keywords like that AND a .com domain, the potential is there to reach a huge targetted and hungry audience with very little effort.

Included with the site is a license transfer of a highly secure digital delivery script I purchased (a $40 value), which prevents unscrupulous access to the paid-for content. It's actually a very nifty piece of code - you can learn more, and demo it here - I'm not an affiliate of this script BTW :)

SkyTvPC.com was made for an Adwords campaign! Similar sales on DP have suggested a 300% daily ROI from a tiny Adwords spend.

I find that a little unbelievable, personally...

It is far more achievable, at the current competitive rates, to expect 1 sale per $8 Adwords day - i.e. $15 revenue per day, which equals $7 profit...BUT, that would be from a page 2 sponsored link.

If you were to double your Adwords spend to $16 per day, you would guarantee a Top 3 listing, which would convert around 4 sales per day, or $60 revenue ($44 profit per day)

But, enough of the sales pitch, already!

My old host went bust this week, and as of yesterday I'm now hosting with a fellow DP'er (Thanks for helping, Matt!), so assume no visitor stats/revenue.

However, given the transfer of the digital download script, the unique graphics, the fantastic, highly targetted 7 letter .COM domain name, and the Adwords potential, the starting price is a steal at $50.

The domain will be pushed free of charge, of course.

I have a BIN in mind, and an end date, but I'd rather wait until the 1st bid has been made. Please be assured that the BIN won't be unrealistic, nor the end date too far away.

    Thanks for reading, much appreciated.
    Steve

P.S. The age old question - why are you selling the site if it's worth so much?

Well - I would give the same age old stock answer - I'm selling the site to fund a 'new project'...but I know you're smarter than that.

Truth is, I have a wife and daughter who deserve my attention more than Google right now. And besides, my 'real-world' career is doing ok, and I really don't have the time to give to developing a website.

Hi - anyone else having this problem?

The site loads fine for me. The only thing I can think of is that there is still some DNS propogation happening.

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Thanks for the reply Futures_Equity,

Are you sure you're not confusing Adwords with Adsense?

Google doesn't seem to have an issue displaying these sponsored links...

Adwords Search Results For 'Satellite TV on PC'

In any case, the product that is being sold is essentially a long list of url's to legitimate streaming media channels across the web - nothing illegal at all, so I don't see what Google (or, to comment klubz previous post, PayPal for that matter) would object to.

Also - dragons5 - I expect you're right, this is primarily aimed at the UK market. The UK market is starved of live soccer matches, even if you are willing to pay the expensive subscriptions & pay-per-view costs.

Consequently, with broadband being the norm now here in the UK, there is a huge market for services such as this which will allow people to follow their teams free of charge through legal streaming media channels.

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi again stephenhartley,

I guess DNS is still updating.

    Can you try browsing to:

http://skytvpc.com (i.e. without the www), or even

    http://38.114.204.157/~skytvpcc/

    That should get you there!

Thanks for pointing it out :)

I don't think so, whatadeals? Please see the above post if you are having difficulty accessing the site. I moved the site to new hosting on Tuesday, so it seems the DNS is still updating across the web!

Hi - it's not software actually, BromptonWeb! It's a PDF guide which demonstrates where and how you can access free legitimate online streaming TV channels, many of which show premium content (sports, movies, etc). The sporting channels tend be be foreign, where the content has been licenced for markets outside of the US/UK.

    Thanks for your questions!

    Hi all,

Just to let you know - I have had an opening bid of $80 via PM

Realistically, given the slew of $1 proxies that are fetching $100+, I'm really looking for:

BIN - $150 (this includes installation & configuration of the digital download script on your web host - if you're happy to install the script yourself, then I'll reduce the BIN to $130)

Length of auction? 48 hours from now.

Thanks again for looking. I'm happy to answer any questions either publically or privately - whatever suits you best.

    Cheers,
    Steve

$130 is the high bid at the moment from 24abc (I'll PM you shortly, and yes, the domain gets transferred for free from 123reg.co.uk)

$20 more wins the site & installation. A matching bid wins the site without installation - by the way, the installation of the download script is fairly straightforward, but takes around an hour to configure & test. Hence the $20 'charge'

    Cheers,
    Steve
