Is $100 Too much for a PC Game

Biggest what I have spent for game $8 , I download them online.

 

I agree. The video game industry is a fraud, just like almost every other multi-billion dollar industry. I already pay a ridiculous amount for taxes and other expenses, and then some people want me to pay $100 for a video game?

It will be a cold day in hell before I spend that much. The Online Indie gaming market will eventually become a popular alternative. The video game industry has become corporatized. Games are shorter, more expensive, and have less depth.

15 years go, games were made for nerds and geeks. Today, games are made for everyone, and that is precisely why the industry sucks.

 

100 dollars is ALOT.

I like to wait a bit for prices to come down- thus I get super games but I can afford more of them!

It would most definately depend on the game. I have paid $50 for a video game in the past but I'm not totally sure I'd pay $100 for a game.

 

all the new games - Latest Battlefield 2145 or whatever, you name a new title and its retailing at $99.95 - ($100 - whats five cents?)

 

I can get PS2 games at my local pawn shop for about $10. They also have a clearance section at the EB nearby where I can get PS2 games for about 5 to 7 bucks.

thanks. we have a million pawn shops around here, I guess I should check them out sometime. I figure if I ever do buy a console I'd probably look for a sweet bundle on the ebay

 

Well if the game is really nice and It cant be downloaded anywhere, sure why not.

$100 is a complete rip-off, why not just wait a couple of months till it's half that price!

 

To me, $100 is WAY too much. But it depends on the game. It'd have to be REALLY good for it to be $100.

 

I find PC games way too expensive. They used to be much cheaper. Now they are really big but expensive.

 

Well I am amazed, how you people pay $100 on games. We don't have a concept of paying that much for buying cd's whether they be games or softwares. You can get a game cd for around 50 cents here (i.e 40 rs) and a dvd for $1. Almost same prices are in India
