Personalised Page Gone... FFS Google part 2

Google seemed to of scraped my personalised page... my Digg feed, my wired feed, my Google reader feed all removed from it. I'm left with just the default personalised stuff.

My Google Reader account is all still ok, just the personalised page has...messed up

I hope this is fixed soon... this happen to anyone else just now?

    Ditto!

All my stuff has returned to how it was AGES ago. no Digg. no Gizmodo. And everything has gone to show max of 10 items. It's hideous!

Anyone else having this problem? I never really customized my page (and hardly ever use it), so I honestly cannot tell whether it's changed or not. Anyway, I hope they haven't lost everyone's settings!

I wouldn't mind. I set it all back up again, and whilist doing so it went back to the default again. Grrrrr.

It isn't just UK users, because i use the USA version of Google Personalised page as i like the themes :p

And when checking on both .com & co.uk they are default.

I can't live without my Google Personalised homepage. Lol

lol, me neither, hence why I started this thread because I'm a bit peeved  I too tried changing it back to how I had it and it changed it back to the default half way through... FFS!!!

I dunno, maybe Google is trying to force what it thinks is personal on us, we should all be Gemini and we should all know the word of the day...

Sounds like google personalized isn't a reliable option yet. Personally I use protopage.com . Real nice - and haven't lost my info once...

Yeah. It happened to me as well. Really annoying and it also made me think if it happened to GMAIL then my business would be in serious trouble. I love gmail due to its speed in searching the messages and web presence. Do you guys know any service that offers GMAIL backups?

Use MicroSoft Outlook or Outlook Express. Set it up with pop access and in Gmail set it so that all emails are downloaded via pop. That way all your emails are downloaded to YOUR computer.

The setting you want is in the Forwarding and Pop area of gmail settings. And you need to select Enable POP for all mail (even mail that has already been downloaded)

that way everything will be downloaded :)

    Hope it helps
