I need some dreamweaver help..!! When i try and create a 3comlum template or whatever it says it requires somefile or something and then it doesnt let me go to the split view.. it just goes to the code view and i cant do anything... for more info please pm me... I NEED HELP ASAP!!!!!!!

I use DW8 and MX before that and I've never had that problem. Sounds like one of the system files is currupt or missing, try re-installing the software.
I will second that emotion! If the program is asking you for a file, then you might have a virus, or a corrupt file somewhere, just re-install and try again, and then post here so we can know what happened. Hurry up - ASAP! Best of luck
What do you mean it doesn't allow you to go to split view? Do you not have the three buttons "code","split" and "design" at the top of the page? By the way, I have never used "template" stuff, I just copy and paste whenever I need so I don't know about it.
Which works fine, until you need to change something....it's really nice to be able to just make the change once and have it immediately show up on all your pages!
What exactly does it say it needs? I use Dreamweaver extensively, and have come across issues, but never when trying to switch views. I have had cases of missing files, and it normally happens when there is a system error and the program crashes. Files that Dreamweaver are using get corrupted and you are unable to fix it without reinstalling.
