v2.1.0 was far better than v2.1.1 - In terms of spam

I have 2 directories using free phpld verions..

One using v2.1.0 and another using v2.1.1

I have never received any auto spam on directory running v2.1.0
but I receive around 50+ spams/day on directory using v2.1.1



Why its so ?

v2.1.1 is better than nothing - either go for paid one or not use free one.

 

ummm not sure but I have a free directory with v2.1.1 and i am not getting that much spam.
I do get some but its not that much.

May be your directory is added on some Dir. submitter tools. (have seen lots of software lately)

 

50 spams a day would really piss me off. Its probably not related to the phpld version, seems strange.

 

Did you do any promotion recently? Could be due to that.

50 spam sites one day is a small amount, especially for a free directory.

 

I'll be happy to monitor and trouble shoot for a few days.

I remember the latest free version is 2.1.2

It works fine for me. Got few spam after upgrade.

Personally I think v2.1.2 is better than v.2.1.0.....in fighting with spam..
