    This name was abandoned and I picked it up before it expired, which is why it has a history of four years (I think dropped domains would loose their history??)

    As far as PR is concerned, I am sure no one can guarantee when you loose or gain PR. I guess it depends on the strength of the backlink and this domain has a solid PR6 dot edu backlink.

    I bought a PR6 domain a while back. Not on DP.
    2 weeks after I bought it, it were PR0 :)

    No use in doing that. Google only show a small amount of backlings.

    Use a tool like http://www.backlinkwatch.com/ and You will see a lot more :)

    Yeah, but those backlinks do not count in PR calculations. Only backlinks recognized by google are used in google's PR algorithem.
