$50 logo design - music related

Company: Lyricology Camp
Lyricology camp is focused on providing artist management services to upcoming reggae artists. There is also a record label element, focusing on concious reggae music and lovers rock.

Colors: red yellow and green (rasta colours ice gold and green), and maybe brown, beige, black and white. Additionally, if the red gold and green are used together, they should be faded into each other, and not have distinguishing lines.

an idea (not compulsory): a lion roaring with just its head visible from a tent similar to an oval tent. And coming out from the open roaring mouth of the lion should be something representing lyrics and musical notes (or good lyrics and music). This should work with or without the name Lyricology Camp, and be able to be fitted onto, or adapted to different colour backgrounds

You may do in photoshop but start with a large work space @ 300dpi so it can be scaled down and still look well. In addition, when scaled down it should still look similar to the large version.
If done with vectors size obviously doesn't matter.

Length: 3 days (may extend if need be)
Payment: $50 via paypal.

A website is not up at this time, so feel free to be as creative as you want.

 

xluciusx - the music emphasis is weak. all of the colors don't have to be in the logo, it was just some options. overall not a bad start but keep going and could form into something

no one else?

xxx - lion, not cougar. maybe add some music/artist feel to it.
mitcharr - good stuff. wouldn't mind seeing a few other ideas to see what you can come up with.
kanwarjoy - 1st entry is basically theft, 2nd has no meaning just text. also, no tagline as of now.

Ok, here is another, no copyright issues with lion pic, i got it off istock photo

 

ALL: The three main symbols of the logo are lyrics (music), camp (tent), and lion. If all three of these elements (and color) could be integrated into the logo w/o looking too complex it'd be cool.

Last two entry are nice. Stick to illustration instead of actual photos.
Mitcharr, try working with your first entry a little more - maybe a tent in there or something.

Also, contest will be extended until we get something that is liked so keep posting entries. also keep in mind, jamaica/caribbean theme, not web 2.0

So here's another entry with a unique font, I think it ties in nicely with the "camp" theme
