    Hey all,

I've been trying to insert the regular javascript of disabling the right click of the mouse on the submit page to no avail as I get smarty errors/etc.

Has anyone successfully initiated this or gone even farther to disable informEnter and other such methods that reduce duplicate content as I require a decent description size and these bastards just cut and paste to achieve my minimum character requirement so I get tons o' crap like this...

    Description:
    Any help would be appreciated.

I would like to try something like this too. I wonder how effective it would be.

Well its a good idea, but a one that won't work.
It would require javascript to work (anyway who right clicks to copy?)
And bots don't use javascript... thus useless

agreed. Just because you remove the right click does not mean that someone will not have access to the source code. If that is in fact what you want to avoid. A simple click on the View - Source will pull that up without a problem.

Maybe I do not fully understand what you are tring to do.

whenever I am copying, I highlight then press ctrl+c
If you want to completely stop it, make the description an image using GD.

    Auuuugh!!!!!

Please READ. I'm NOT trying to PROTECT ANYTHING!! Please look farther than the title and assume the typical right click to preserve content.

    I'm trying to STOP PASTING.

Agreed to what you have said. Nice thought... but one can easily disable javascript in the browser and continue to work? ;)

AS IS SAID - IT WON'T WORK, they can disable javascript.
And how the heck is javascript going to know if they are pasting?
The browser doesn't know the difference between typing and pasting

Yeah I understand, but what a lot of people do is use Informenter or some other automated scenario.

The easiest route since it's not already being pasted from a clipboard is right click

    CTRL+V doesn't work until it's actually copied.

So 90% of the time they initially start with right clicking to copy and/or then paste, and I'd like to shut em down or have it look like it went thru and actually have it go to deleted.

It would cut down dramatically if no error was present, and would cut down a lot if it were.

It will work or at least make them work harder if only slightly, I just can't get the java working.

That deals with the phpld smarty error I get how? "right click disable" + "phpld" got me nowhere also plenty of other searches. Please if someone has implemented in phpld let me know. Thanks.

I absolutely agree, I'm trying to deter the 'honest' submitter from just using informenter as we do search for duplicate content.
