In reality that's most likely a small amount of traffic. I'm sure a lot of DP users have Alexa installed to cheat the system.

That came with a backlink update... and was for new sites only:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=1112890

The next time we saw any update of PR for existing sites was the glitchy frozen update August 24th. September 28th there was one as well, but it did not go all the way. We then got the January 10 and 25th updates, January 10th caused amazon.com and others to go PR0 with a secondary push to fix that... all those had backlink updates.
I don't remember if that July 7th event had a backlink update... do you? If it is the same as the July 13th event (when backlinks were updated) it does not fit the pattern of exporting backlinks immediately prior or with a PR update... and the information in the thread is not very informative, unless you are interested in the proper use of the term ellipsis...

Fact is the March 22 backlink update and the canonicalization update coincided; there was a backlink update, I saw PR change for several urls of my own, and they have been in flux and erroring out digpagerank among others...

I'm fairly certain Gary1974 meant March 22 and not April 22 (since he registered the domain on March 4) was when the PR changed for linkbooker.com...

Now we have had some erroneous reporting by Google of backlinks, but clicking around and checking d/c's, I do not see that they actually changed since March 22...

I can accept that they have a sample they are playing with on a few d/c's, and that may have caused some to see PR change that was not showing right after March 22, but this just does not fit the pattern of a PR update.
It is more of the same... a side effect of the canonicalization update.

It wasn't for new sites only... read the next post, seoc = SEOChat, and they had changes, Christian was wrong on that one.

Every single PR update, afaik, includes a backlink update as well.

I promise, this is definitely a PR update (well, was before the rollback anyways). Sites and pages that did not exist prior to the last PR update gained PR. That means new data was exported.

I'm not going to comment on all this PR stuff that's happening, but I do want to say that digpagerank is definitely the best PR checker tool I have seen on the web. It's great, and a very good job done.

I have noticed that a lot of my pages that used to "say" PR0 are now shaded out in the bar and say PR unavailable.

    Havent noticed any other changes.

Oh, about a week or more ago numerous of my internal pages went up in PR, but no home pages

i saw a small blip on two DCs a few days ago for a couple of sites started since the last pagerank, but now everything has reset to zero. i think i've spent entirely too much time checking live pr and dig pr :)

Mostly new sites would get update first.

If you have new one check it first :)

Mong, kewl, you're up. I just got a Google Alert about my link: query changing. Unfortunately, whatever DC they pulled it from isn't showing either when I search or when I use McDar's multi dc-checker. This thread got too big... which DC's had the frozen PR update that just rolled back? I want to check my link: on them. I know it was in the 72.14.20x block, but I think you said there were a couple outside that block, and only a few inside it were actually changing.

    Thanks.

    Michael,
In this total time span i saw changes only on two different blocks of ips.. Mostly it were from these ips

    72.14.205.44
    72.14.205.80
    72.14.205.81
    72.14.205.83
    72.14.205.84
    72.14.205.99
    72.14.205.101
    72.14.205.107
    72.14.205.133
    72.14.205.189

    72.14.207.81
    72.14.207.99
    72.14.207.101
    72.14.207.115

There was couple of IPs from block 66.249.8x
    but i didn't note exact ips. :confused: {only 2 ips which i saw were showing change}

    Damn, can't reproduce it.

The new link is supposedly from a forum thread created 02-23-2007. When was the last BL update?
