hi, i currently run a site which is in the top 3 results for the following searches budget graph death and taxes taxes 2007 visual budget which is all well an good but im not so sure these people are buyers. so i would like to be at the top of searches for 'political gifts'. Is there any to determine which key words are competitive in their field. "political gifts" pulls up 9M results but maybe people really arn't searching for the term 'political gifts' maybe they are searching for 'republican gifts' or 'protester gifts' both of which produce less results but may be used more often for searches. so is there a way to find out how often a keyword or phrase is searched? thanks
I'm trying with this tool (based on Overture and Wordtracker): http://www.123promotion.co.uk/ppc/index.php
Can you search for long tail keywords that are buy keywords but less competitive than the general keyword... like instead of political gifts you might try buy political gifts or purchase political gifts..
a competitive keyword can be hard to get into the market for...but a keyword that is not as competitive means that people are not searching as much for that keyword....just be careful with what you are targeting towards...
Just try info.overture.com and google adword you will get details. One more thing you can do just notice the volume of advertisements coming on particular keyword. More advertisements mean more competitive keyword.
budget graph death and taxes taxes 2007 visual budget If your site is in the top 3 for the above keywords....how is that related to political gifts or republican gifts? are you sure you are targeting the right keywords for your site?
i didn't specifically target the above words, it just happens that my site is about those words, i would like to target 'political gifts' as those would convert more.
