Hey guys, I'm actually running this contest for a friends site (of which I'm a contributor). The site is http://www.wellwtf.com. Here's what we're looking for: 1) Transparent background on the logo (we want to use the existing header bg image) 2) Can be anysize that fits within the current header nicely. 3) Color scheme that fits existing theme 4) Clean, web 2.0 (ugh, not a fan of the term, but you all know what it means) design. 5) OPTIONAL: A mascot or brand symbol This site is influenced by the likes of CollegeHumor, Heavy, Gizmodo, Kotaku, GameTrailers, etc. BTW - The current icon on the site is from the template and will go away. Sorry I can't be more descriptive. When I asked my friend what he was looking for in particular he said "Surprise me". We'll pick a winner in 2 weeks (on Saturday May 5th). Winner will get $30 to their paypal.
I can't edit the original post, so I'll put the update here. The owner of the site would like to add the following prizes: Winner: Along with the the $30, you'll also get a 6 month footer link in this format: "Logo designed by ______" 2nd Place: $15 cash via Paypal. Let's see more entries!
Here is what it would look like on the website, I did a really quick job of editing the old one out -ATF
Hey there. Rather than continuing to put Roadies to work for me, I figured I could answer these myself... I like the idea behind the mascot, but not necessarily in it's exact form. What exactly he's doing with his hands isn't clear so it makes it a bit difficult to buy in to entirely (am I making sense here?) Thanks, I certainly appreciate the effort!
I like sillyness of the mascot. The big question mark over his head (the orange one), to me, is funny. My only change would be that the tag line be in orange to match the question mark. This is my current front runner.
WTF?! Who is this newb?! ...ok, just kidding. vgsgeek is the actual owner of WellWTF.com, so his feedback IS valid. I offered to run this contest for him cuz, well look how many posts he has, who would believe a newb?! Keep up the great work everyone!
