I don't think we use it, but man, I sure did get quite a few emails from them today pushing some special offfer...
It's ok, but I cannot honestly say it has helped my SEO efforts tremendously. Favorite feature, automatic anchor text on outbound links. Biggest flaw, lack of the ability to ping sites like technorati automatically.
I have always wondered about vbseo one curious thought does dp use vbseo?? It doesnt seem like it but im not sure..
If I was vBSEO, I would give them a licence for free and support the heck out of it. It would be hard to find a better endorser than DP.
Do any of the big Webmaster forums use it? Sitepoint? AdminZone? Others? If not, that would seem like a big enough incentive to not use it
thats what i was thinking.. And there is no way to prove that it increases search engine traffic because people just say one month it was low and then bammm!!! it could of been anything that boosted there traffic. Im not bashing vbseo but just had a "thought"
I just installed it on my forum ( www.digitallywise.com ) a few months ago and so far I've seen a clearly noticable increase in bot activity on the site as well as traffic coming from search engines. I also now have PR of 2 or 3 on pages that never previously had a PR.
I wonder how different this thred would be if everyone had a spare 150$ to invest... I bet a bunch of naysayers would vanish. If it was 50$ you wouldn't hear a bad thing about it except it's "encoded" ohhhhh
Server load gets real high with all that mod_rewriting. Just a guess. I use it on v7n - awesome results.
i use vbseo on my forum and altho it did take over a year to kick in im glad i held tight. i now have over 300k pages indexed in google. laffing!
