$100 WordPress Design Contest

I would really like to repost this contest with a different title and description! The reason for this is that we've increased our dollar amount by 50% to $150. Naturally we'll receive far more entries with a title that says "$150 WordPress Design Content" than a $100 contest.

I don't know how to contact the admin of this board to ask; could someone please ask if it would be possible to close this contest and open a new one with the new $150 amount? What do you guys think?

There seems to be an issue with loading your image as it just sits there "loading" forever. We have an DSL (2.5mbs) connection so that's not the issue.

I'd like some futher explanation please?

 

Well to start we're looking for a "Web 2.0" design and this is not that style. We don't like the style of buttons used or the flat color design. That being said we really appreciate your time and effort.

For everyone else these two sites provide enough examples of the high level of design we're looking for:

Your example sites have many different template designs, some web 2.0, others not. Web 2.0 is jsut a phrase thrown around to describe certain design techniques, and in my opnion you are not providing enough details to achieve the result you are looking for.

Rather than saying no that's not right, try saying that's not right but here's what we might like.

 

Well when somebody says to me 'web 2.0' style, i always think of these things :

- shine on text
- gradient background
- rounded boxes
- stripes
- bright colours
- thick fonts
- strokes and drop shadows

Obviously don't use all of them lol or it starts to look ridiculous, but that's a few pointers anyway!

You asked for more details so we answered you. We didn't say that your design was "right" or "wrong". We simply stated that your design was not for us and why we didn't like; which you asked for.

 

Here is one I spent a lot of time on, for a stupid time waster. I can edit it to fit your exact requirements, but if you could just tell me what you think of it first of all, we can possibly avoid wasting eachothers time.

For the competition in this $100 hardly seems worth it, but I might give it a shot!
