Marine vs soldier .... wholeheartedly agreed. I was a soldier and had Marines in my family. We draw the distinction between a marine and a soldier quite sharply. There isn't likely a marine on the planet that would call themselves a soldier and vice versa. So my guess is the letter is likely fake too.

For the most part liberals don't serve?? Where did you get those majority figures from? With the VAST majority of enlisted soldiers who make up well over 80% being poor to lower middle class (and you knowing this having served yourself) why would you say such a thing?

I get those numbers from my experience meeting and working with soldiers daily throughout my military career. You cna try and flip the subject on to me by challenging those numbers but well... then you'd still have to prove your own statement to be true and anyone who's ever served would not agree with you.

Poor/middle class transcends political affiliation. Where do I get those numbers from? It's been this way for a long time. Liberals oppose war and oppose the military in general. Of course, polls and results also reflect this as well.

I think terrorists are just messengers.

I understand that they are horrible people doing horrible acts. And finding and destroying their organizations is vital in the process. But this just fixes the symptoms not the cause.

It's like the Computer Viruses and the Computer Anti-Virus industry. You always need more anti-virus, more anti-scam, more anti-spyware. But really doesn't address WHY are people writing viruses in the first place.

So to me War is nothing more than a very well executed business plan, just like the Anti-Virus industry is booming.

War is also going to create more enemies that will want to revenge when they grow up. So it's the perfect business model. It feeds on itself.

Now... you look at the stock market and everytime there is war, there is also more jobs and job stability, that ensures a lot more war supporters.

Like you said - everyone has an agenda. But when it comes down to politics - supporting it or not - we are all pawns. We are all being played big time. It's genius.

Do you have a reference to any credible site for that quote? In doing a search on it, in google, I get approximately 118 results. And not surprisingly, most everyone seems to be a leftist/anti-war/moonbat site.
