Okay then, where do I report it to google, that as a google user I am utterly dismayed by the quality of service that dmoz provides & that google promotes?
I'm not sure it will do any good, since Google doesn't control the content, but you could try here: http://www.google.com/intl/en/contact/index.html
I know it probably won't do any good but just wanted it record. If enough of us complain they might eventually do something about it i.e stop using the pile of crap as some sort of indication as to whether website A is more worthy than website B. It's pathetic.
Google doesn't "rely" on DMOZ. In truth, absolutely nothing "relies" on DMOZ, except some of the editors and admins who would not have a life at all if DMOZ ceased to exist.
...and a few dozen members of this and other forums whom wouldn't have anything to complain about otherwise.
I also think that the ODP kind of relies on DMOZ (or is that the other way around?) Though, I do wonder what we'd all complain about if DMOZ really was dead.
There is always wikipedia and how it rips off content and then steals your top spot at Google with your content.
Just doing my part to state the obvious I do think that they need higher standards for the inclusion of porn though what they currently have listed is a bunch of filth. If those types of pages were submitted to any other category they would not be listed at all...and not just because they are porn.
Everyone's a critic, wait until poptalk and me release our new website - Austin Powers will be forgotten in a second.
Report them to google for what? Putting what they want on their website? I can put all the nude pics I want on my website, its MY WEBSITE... They can do the same..
