Should websites not following the Submission Guidelines be re-funded?

I think it's best to simply do a refund. Sure, some of these site are a pain in a the a$$ but like already mentioned, it will prevent confusion/complaints down the road.

Also, I would have to ask myself would I submit to a directory that charges me simply to reviwed my site. Probably not. While chances are pretty good I'd get accepted , I won't pay for a review with no promise of a refund if it's isn't

 

All what i've gathered from this thread is that in either of the case you should re-fund just to save the reputation of your directory and to be ethical, on the other hand i definitely think a Review fee is a great idea, but it must be expressed clearly in the submission guidelines so that there is no pain in the end.

Still more pain for me today as i got submission and what embarrasses me most is when i ask people accepting my payment to refund n bla bla bla....

 

i have patient when checking submissions, i can edit the title, modify the description, move the site to the right category. I only refund if the site has a lot of ads(affiliate,adsense, etc) and very poor design .

 

While everyone has his own views and his own rules and guidelines to accept or reject the website,being the owner you have rights to provide the kind of services you wish to provide but i personally think for me the worst i could come up with is having money from such type of websites as my earnings, so there will be no listings of such sites in my dir, and i hope i would not let that happen even
