Hi, I want to use my lists with an affiliate program, that way I can make some extra income without actually setting up a new site. clickbank is an obvious choice, but I don't like the sending of a check, (I am not in the UK at the moment so a check would be a pain, especially if there is a problem). paydotcom pays directly to my paypal account, and I can then refill my UK account from there, so that would be ideal. But, paydotcom is not as popular as clickbank so I don't know. So, what would suggest? Is paydotcom any good? Or should I go with the trusted clickbank? Many thanks FFMG
It is better to choose clickbank because it offers a great variety of popular products that you can very easily promote and earn money. Even though it is paying through checks, I believe it is a better alternative.
I agree with downloadsonline.org. Clickbank's definitely the way to go. Their product offerings are awesome and cover nearly every possible topic.
Although Clickbank offers alot of products that you can promote there are alot of downsides to it. These include some of the following: You have to get atleast 4 sales that are made from at least 4 different US credit cards before they will release your payments If your an international affiliate they deduct $2 every month from your account if you have had no sales for about 4 - 8 weeks. They use hotlinks that is noticable to other affiliates meaning the risk for stealing your commissions become bigger.
Yea, the more I look at it the worse it looks. I have a medium sized list, but it is a top quality list and I don't want to waste it been ripped off by some smaller companies. At the end of the day, that's all I care about, them been fair and paying on time. Who else would you guys recommend? FFMG
4 sales that are made from at least 4 different US credit cards - This is to control the misuse of the system by affiliates to purchase products in the marketplace at a discount without any intention of promoting products. Clickbank hoplinks are the easiest affiliate links I have ever come across. You can use free cloaking services online to cloak your hop links.
Humm it's up to you, i think the two companies are reliable. Personally, I would prefer clickbank because I prefer getting paid by check. So since it is exactly the opposite for you might want to go with paydotcom. I actually have some problems setting up my paypal account to get the money directly deposited into my bank account. And I prefer by far the clickbank support compared to paypal or paydotcom. About the number of sales you need before getting your first payment... this answer comes directly from ClickBank' affiliate FAQ: ''2. You may not have met the Customer Distribution Requirement: ClickBank accounts cannot be used for the sole purpose of collecting rebates or otherwise extending credit to yourself or others. In compliance with US law, ClickBank will withhold payment of any account balance until it contains standing sales made with 5 or more different credit card numbers, including at least one Visa card, and one MasterCard. PayPal and eCheck purchases do not count toward the minimum.''
Oh well you've been faster than me downloadsonline.org! Nice post, I agree with everything you said (well at least on THIS post lol) except it is 5 instead of 4 different U.S cards.
