Traffic from stumble upon?

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by awesty, Apr 23, 2007.

I have been with stumble upon for a while and I know people have been stumbling my site but I dont seem to be getting much traffic from there.

Is anyone actually getting a fair amount from there? Also how many stumbles do you need to get a nice amount of traffic from them?

if the stumbler has a big network of friends and your site is interesting enough, you will get a thousand of traffic per day, this is based from my experience in my two arcade site, though the traffic will decrease in a few week or days.

Your site has to be interesting or informative in the first place in order to complete with the others :) As for your reference, i got around 400 visits from stumbleupon last month for one of my site.

I usually receive 40-300 for a stumble. However, I just usually buy stumbles.

I have never used stumble upon, but the set up seems a little strange. I am wondering if this traffic is really worth what you would pay for a stumble? Traffic is one thing, but does it convert into cash?

Buying stumbles? Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose??

What do you consider the objective to be?

Non-incentivized, community and recommendation based traffic, social, not economical traffic

    I consider the objective as:
A advertising method that has a positive ROI.

Ill usually spend $10-$100 for stumbles at $0.05 each and then those users that give the site a thumbs up usually sends lots of "Non-incentivized, community and recommendation based traffic, social, not economical traffic".

However, I consider this to be unethical, plus it is against their terms of service.

Stumble gives decent traffic, they are one of the top social bookmarking sites out there. The only downside is you need their toolbar.

I got quite a lot of hits from SU, in fact I guess SU traffic is better than digg. Some of them become my reguler visitors, not like digg.

But if you're asking for convertion (clicking ads).... it sucks :p

I dont get traffic from SU either, but a link there can be good afterall. Also, try getting your inner pages stumbled, not just the home page of your site. Inner pages can get better traffic.
