I am looking to do some advertising and was wondering what would be the best small PPC network to use. I have used adwords and msn adcenter. I am looking for somthing that has a good rep and seems to have click "problems" under control.

I've used Adengage and they are not too bad. You can find some bargains.

I ran 500 click campaign on Etology.com but all the traffic was crap. They delivered all 500 clicks in a matter of a few hours. I didn't get one conversion.

Yep similar experience several years ago wirh a diff PPC engine. Several hundred clicks and nothing to show. These were the same ads that were converting at about 8% on a large network. After complaining in an email and no responce I was done.

You may want to try 3FN. I've had a good experience with them so far, although I'm on the publisher side.

You can't just say something like that without an explanation, that's slander. Not only that it just sounds like whinging. If you can explain to everyone why it is you think that then it makes your opinion far more credible.

i think click quality is a serious issue. whatever you decide, do a small-scale test first and watch the conversions. you will need enough volume to be realistic, but if you get many clicks REALLY REALLY fast and 0% conversion, perhaps time to move on.

You can use faults of small PPC affiliates to your advantage. For example, and Im only using this because I've worked with them, take Exoclick. They have good advertisor services, but their ads are entirely contextual. For you, that's good, because if your advertising "baby powder", websites that have "powder" and "baby" will also include your ads, which just means your ads are more wide-spread for a lower cost.
