What country is giving out free lunches?

Even if internet access was bundled with cable, phone or something you'd be deluded if you thought it was free.

cost of internet included in board fees, which i think is pretty geneorus considering we get UNLIMITED bandwidth. no quota, nothing.

alot of other schools i know imposes a bandwidth quota.

Its one of the funniest thread i have seen.
In which country do they provide free Internet.
There might be differences in prices but nothing is free in this world.

So long as there are technicians who need to maintain equipment so that the internet can run there will be the need to pay them. Someone, somewhere is paying for it. It may be the Government (as in the Housing Developments in Singapore), it may be your parents through tuition, but these guys are being paid!

I had access issues with getting to certain websites last year, and another similar issue with aol emails about 5 years ago. In both cases there were nodes that were faulty. These weren't at my ISP, nor with the hosting company of the sites - but in the system as you hop from node to node. If you know how you can get the techs on the phone, these are real people. I don't know exactly what was done about them but they got fixed - that's hardware and labour - it all costs money and it doesn't happen by magic.

In australia I pay AUD$40/month for 512kb/s, 8GB of bandwidth. It is one of the best plans offered (price).
