Asking for reciprocal VS really putting them off

    A question to directory owners.

Regarding reciprocal submissions do you prefer getting a reciprocal link or do you put them off completely.

I understand that many submitters will put a link on a junk page, orphan page, remove it afterwards etc... and ive seen some directory owners put a large $ in place to really put them off.

Which do you prefer? i realise everyone has their way of doing things and some wont mind what another hates.

I took the option completely off on one directory and soon to remove it from all my others as well. Mostly a waste of time and effort keeping track of...

Not talking about the link back to PHPLD, talking about the reciprocal submission option

Simple way: Remove the reci area from submit.tpl

I did that for my directories.

Just take it off your template file by either deleting it or commenting it out.

edit: Looks like vegabond beat me to it :)

I've removed the option on my directories, more trouble than they're worth.

For now I prefer reciprocal with minimum PR3. This could be changed in future :)

Do you get many reciprocated submissions when you require a reciprocal link of a higher PR than you're providing?
