Probably this question has been discussed already, but I did not find it among the vast amount of info here and the search did not helped much. My question is : If I have two titles showing one and the same page, does it goes as duplicate content? 10x
Google does not like two or more titles with the same textual description. Every page should have its own unique title that accurately represents the content for that particular page. If you are referring to having two title tags on the same page, I'd recommend against that. I'd be willing to bet the scrumptious cupcake I'm eating that this sort of duplicate tag content will trigger a flag with the search engines. Best wishes... Ian C PS. My cupcake has chocolate sprinkles! =)
jdevalk, Ian C, thanks for the replies. Ian, can you tell what if I put the second title to open the page as permanent redirect. Let say I have two titles - "how-to open a port" , "opening a port" - and "opening a port" just permanent redirects to "how-to open a port" article. Will it be again 'punished' by the SEs? 10x in advance.
