If I wanted to take advantage of the Virginia shootings I would keep the site and wait for the money to come in from Adsense. The adsense on the site isn't even mine, it's the default that came with the script.

MassMurders.info, aswell as the other sites are BRAND NEW sites that I didn't intend to keep or profit from revenue, only to sell. And you just proved that was my intention by posting proof that I only recently registered the domain.

My sole intention was to build a couple of sites and sell them, nothing more, nothing less.

I would imagine "mass murders" is common keyword, fact is, I have never searched for it, doesn't interest me.

My point is this, whatever way you look at someone will make money off this site (Skribbles or the pinkeyedjim) via people searching for info on the VA shootings. As more info about the VA shotings comes out what kind of stories do you think the RSS feeds are gonna be about? Come on guys, common sense, it's a good thing.

It would interesting to see the referrers after a month's time has passed.

I heard about the shootings on TV. What does that have to do with anything? No one has made money off of me in regards to this situation.

Sites like Yahoo!, MSN, CNN, etc. report the news, all the news, not just news on "mass murders", and their sites are montenized, they make money off people in general, their sites are not targeted on one keyword(s).

Bottom line: The site was registered to make money off this tragic event, there is no way around it. It was registered on the 19th of April and the shootings happened on the 16th. Come on. On top of that it's a $1.21 .info, RSS, MFA site. A cheap pickup, basically spam.

I'm no tree-hugger, but I do have some morals and ethics.

Au contraire... television stations make money off of advertisments, they sell their advertisements based on how many viewers they have. Ergo if you viewed it, they made money off of you.

You could have just as easily chosen to associate his registering of this domain with the bombings in Iraq that happened on the 17th of April and killed 130 people and wounded about the same. Or the anniversary of the Columbine killings on April 20th. Or for National Holocaust remembrance week, which was the week before. There is murder going on all around the world all the time.

Is it any better than making money off of the Anna Nicole Smith hullabaloo? Or off of the iraq war. How about companies that contract to prisons? Should they all be forced to be nonprofit because they imprison people? Or a site that pops up with the latest AIDS information? It could be the same kind of RSS MFA site, and profit off of the suffering of millions.

What are your feelings on proxy sites, Mr. Morals? How many people surfing those are High School kids looking at illicit material in school or at a library? But I bet you'd have no problem making money off of that.

Oh and if you can read, the domain is MASS MURDERS (dot info) - it's for mass murders in general and doesn't pertain to any particular mass murder. Although, I'm sure because of the most recent tragic events, you were too blind to see that.
