    Hello,

I am running a web designing and development company in India.

I have few friends over there who need to setup a new company over there in UK and me as a partner or member of company.

No I'm confused because one guy told me that you need to be citizen on UK to be a member or registrar or company in UK and one told there is some legal way to do that.

If some who have knowledge related to my prob let me know.

    Thanks in Advance.

To be a director of a company operating in the UK you do not have to be a British citizen:

There are few restrictions on who is eligible to be a director of a UK company, a director may be of any nationality, and need not be a resident of the United Kingdom. A director must not, however:

    * be an undischarged bankrupt
    * have been disqualified by the court

You do however need to have a UK registered address and a UK bank account. There are plenty of companies who provide this service for a charge.

If you have a branch coorporation it's legal to be out of UK. But you can't open the headquarters inside UK, if you don't have the rights from the government.

    1. Not Bankrupt
    2. not disqualified by any court.

So what all I need is UK registered address and Uk bank account.

So any suggestion for company who has good results in providing these two.

    Thanks

For a registered address you may have a problem because you would need to pay for council tax which isnt cheap.

The lowest which is BAND A costs £992 roughly per year.

Alternatively you can get a PO Box which cost around £49 per month.

As far as getting a bank account is concerned you need to live in the UK and provide a Full UK or EU Passport or a UK Provisional / Full Driving License.

Thats my deed for the day done.

    Hi,

You can have an official company registered (mailing) address for around £90 year and you do not pay any council tax, unless you are meaning having a physical office based at this address which is not required.

There are several services providing you virtual offices in the UK so besides of a postal address you have a physical location and a fax and phone number.

Relate to bank accounts, HSBC is the financial entity that actively promotes offshore banking so you can get an British account online through them, wherever you live.

Most company formation services offer the use of a swanky London address for your registered office for a small yearly fee.
