Edit header.php of your current template and then add in the google analytics code within the <head> code
Google Analytics Plugin for Wordpress This is what I use on a few sites, and I found it from a thread just like this one on DP..lol
I added the analytics code to the footer template, and it worked fine. It's a pretty easy modification to make. Jay
maybe u need to edit the header, but i found some theme which i could paste the code directly but caant remmember.
It's best to use a plugin that helps you insert codes in either your header or footer, like the Header-Footer plugin. If you go and edit your theme's header.php or footer.php, then the Analytics code will disappear if you change to a different theme. This won't be a problem if you use a plugin instead. 1) Generate the Analytics code from the Google site. 2) Install the Header-Footer plugin into your WordPress blog. 3) Copy-paste the analytics code to the footer section in the Header-Footer admin page within WordPress.
