People quit everyday, read this forum and you'll find threads like...
"what am I doing wrong?" "how come I'm not profitable?" "blah blah blah" "yadee la la".

    That's quitting to me.

Linking to aojon is like linking to a tabloid. He claims to have been in affiliate marketing for a number of years. Do you believe someone start doing affiliate marketing and promoting porn at the age of 13?(do the math) Sure he had an 80k check. Also he talked at ASW. About getting ripped off by cj to the tune of a great sum. I've heard rumors that there is another story behind that story. I know alot of people know what is going on. He has lost all credibility with those who have two eyes and a brain.

well i've seen some pretty good 14 yr old affiliate marketers so i guess it is possible... but im not interested in the past, as that does not affect me, but what he puts out now... and that is some pretty good information and a great forum. thats credibility. imo

My friend has previously joined an affiliate marketing network. They have actually promised high commissions to to him then all of a sudden they dropped commission rates after a couple of weeks...

These are two FACTS about ALL affiliate companies.

    1. Offers raise and lower commissions all the time.
    2. They're selling they're gonna claim the highest payouts.

Get used to it. Ignore it.

Profiency and the ability to make money online has LITTLE TO DO WITH AGE. Back when I was starting out in online marketing back in 2000, most of the tricks I learned to make decent cash online was taught to me by an 18 year old friend who started when he was 14.

How can "older" people compete with these 'youngsters'? Simple.

    1) Reactivate your sense of wonder. Don't focus so much on money but focus on your curiosity to learn a subject/website/business model thoroughly. Once you've done that then apply a business filter (cost benefit analysis, opportunity cost analysis, and scalability analysis)

    2) Have fun. Focus on the fun part of your chosen vocation. Affiliate marketing is fun since it jogs one's creative juices and results/fixes happen quickly.

    3) Be creative. Push the envelope. Think in terms of "What Ifs". Use crazy analogies between things you've seen in the past and current patterns you're seeing now. The solutions may lie there.
