This is good but kinda scary.

I have a forum on a very well paying niche. I opened it like a few months ago. Like one month ago or something, Google started to index the pages.

Today, I suddenly noticed a big rise in traffic, and then checked the stats. Omg, Google started to rank it very well. All of a sudden, my forum topics started to appear as the first result in Google.

Now, my question is why is this sudden rise? Why did my forum suddenly start to rank so well for all keywords? Maybe because of some directory submission was evaluated very highly by Google?? What do you guys think? And the keywords are competitive too.

You are so lucky! With no work... I'm assuming people have been linking to posts on your thread articles (you must have many useful ones?).

How old is the domain? They do value the age of a site, older is better. Do you have much competition on content, in other words, is your community based content competing with corporate sales material or made for Adsense sites?

I've been seeing similar reports from new website owners who say their site had good rankings in Google. Unfortunately, these reports surface because the rankings had suddenly vanished. I think we may be seeing a return of the Freshbot effect. Several years ago, it was common for new sites to get a temporary boost in rankings, which was nicknamed 'the Freshbot effect' because at that time there was a special 'googlebot' that looked for new content whose internal moniker was apparently 'Freshbot'. It was common speculation that Google intended this effect to let new sites get some visibility and possibly earn some links from other webmasters. It sure looks like the same effect, if not the same mechanism.

That was back in the days where Google had a Bot that crawled new pages for indexation and a deep-bot that was more extensive, going "deeper" in the crawling process.

    congrats dude.

a bit out of the ordinary, but you have the worst sites ever, that clearly violate like ALL of the AdSense TOS! Nice job hiding them in your signature by using the periods as links. I clicked the 3rd one and I won't click the rest ebcause of what I might find.Jesus Christ. And you're still alive? Adsense is ruined by people like you!

sorry you feel that way, i've submitted every site to adsense support first before putting ads on them. i hide them as periods because people like you enjoy ruining the livelihood of other people just because they don't agree with what one is doing.

Because they just aren't in TOS with google. I'm sure if I submited them to Google Abuse Report, I guarantee you they would ban you. Now you may have submited your site for Adsense, but that site is probably just a simply blog with 3 entries. Now, is that something we should promote?

If you want,I can post your links sinceyou removed themfromyour sig and see what the other dp members say. Bet ya a dozen or so here will report you in a second. Don't blame me for catching things like this, blame yourself for doing things like that.

i can make you a promise, if anything happens to my account within approximately 30 days from now, there will be consequences. i work with a team of four other people, and unfortunately we used to work to disable the accounts of our competitors. we submitted them to traffic generating services, click teams, and we created websites just for their adsense codes. i had them stop doing that a year ago because i couldn't sleep at night. i can easily make room for one more war, if you would like.

pick your battles better man, i haven't done anything to you, i've been a good member here. if you think getting me disabled is worth it to you, then go for it. that's up to you.
