no offence, but for the standards of work that you want i would have a higher prize amount. Dont take it the wrong way, thats just what i think. regards
Your opinion is appreciated and I take no offense at all. But this is a design only; no coding required. We feel $100 is a fair price to pay as the average bid we received on RentACoder was around $70-$80. That being said what do you feel this level of design is worth in your opinion?
in my opinion $150, but everyone is differnet as well as everyone is different price wise. However i will see what i can create for this. regards
Thanks freshdesigners; for the right design we'd be willing to pay more. So let's do this, for the winning design, we'll give an additional $50 bonus! This will make this a $150 (design only, no coding) contest! The design must meet all of our listed requirements and hopefully exceed our design expectations.
The one thing I forgot was to give you some design direction so we can compare "apples to apples". We want this design to be a "business" theme and please no black sites. Thanks and good luck
Well I would have surely shown you my designs, but then 100$ aint worth it. I have coded for people at scriptlance, and yes your average is pretty accurate, though I never touch themes made by any of those programmers cause in my personal experience they usually scrape the client side code ("View Source") and add that to the theme. In addition, something many designers and coders of wordpress themes could tell you is that, its not the code thats the problem it the designing that is time consuming... But then thats my opinion... If you read the posts above you'll note that this is now a $150 design contest and not a $100 contest anymore.
Very nice that contest prize money is updated to $150. My honest opinion is hire a designer and get the theme done as per your taste. Designers are more interested in designing quick, simple and unique logoes in short time. Designers won't come forward to design whole page theme with a fear that they might loose the contest. Just my opinion. The hike in prize money is appreciated.
If you guys can't tell already, we're far more interested in the highest quality possible rather than the fastest speed, so take your time. Which reminds me another thing we forgot to state the deadline. We want to give you guys lots of time so let's say the contest deadline is Thursday, April 26.
