My company's website needs content for SEO purposes and to help build a community and repeat visitors.

Here is what I have gathered so far that I need to include on the site - please let me know if this is a good start:

    Articles (I have tons already)
    Podcasts
    Short Videos
    Messageboards

Ok so how do I go about getting videos and podcasts created, and further, what is the best way to leverage them once i have them hosted on the site.

    Thanks in advance!

    Here's a couple quick tips:

    1. Make unique versions of some of the articles and submit them to article directories.

    2. Make some videos with Camtasia or a digital camera. You can outsource it if you need to. Submit them to YouTube. Use keywords that relate to your product in the descriptions.

    3. Use the content from your message boards to create "condoor" pages. You can find more info about that http://www.dombomber.com However, you may have to put a statement on your forum stating that you own any posted content.

Do you want to host your own podcasts, or have them hosted for you, and you can then feature them and link to them from your site? If you want to have them hosted elsewhere, you could try www.mypodcast.com. I haven't looked at it much since they first launched, but they have the tools for recording, inserting your ads, and they host the podcasts for you, for free. Otherwise, I'm sure others can suggest some decent recording and splicing software to do it all yourself if you want to host them independently. :)

Get your own articles up on your website and make sure that they've been indexed in the SE's. Then write abridged versions of these articles and submit them to article distribution sites, and include in them a link to your site and mention the fact that the complete article can be found on your website.

    Best wishes...
