Google has just announced their first quarter results. Profits are up by 69% to $1 billion. Gross revenue is up by 63% to $3.66 billion.

Having investigated further I've found that Google Adwords revenue, up 76%, appears to be growing faster than Adsense - up just 45%.

To read more go to http://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/main.jhtml?xml=/money/2007/04/20/cngoog20.xml

Google's results come just 2 days after Yahoo announced first quarter profits fell by 11%.

Google is clearly exploiting its leadership position in search.

Yes Google is profiting big time, lets just hope they don't bite the hand that feeds them like they seem keen on doing.... ;)

Funny that their profits have jumped and yet by the sounds of it, a lot of people here are getting cash deducted from their Adsense accounts for various reasons..... (not me, I haven't mady anything yet lol)

Google makes $10 kajillion dollars, publishers make 5-10 cents per click, sounds about right.

No wonder, the rest of the world are still waiting for YPN and it hasn't happened. Don't they know that this is the technological age where things are supposed to happen FAST??
If anyone could compete with adsense, it would be them. So what do they do??.... make a mess of it.

maybe their increase income might pararel with our decrease of income. they reduce payout for adsense for their own profit XD

    YouTube?

Well..to buy Ebay is impossible for any company out there. Ebay's market cap is $45 billion. To buy a company like Ebay you would need to pay around $55-60 billion. Too much isn't it?

I think Google will buy ValueClick for its CJ.com property (CPA market), but I assume MSFT and YHOO will file complaints to anti-trust authorities.

ValueClick is a great buy for NewsCorp, Google, Yahoo, and MSFT.
