CONTEST CLOSED EARLY Apologies to anyone that was considering contributing later.

    WINNER = DAVEY BOY

    Hi,

we need a header logo for a UK website selling designer kitchen appliances.

Here is a rough idea of layout & colours .. example

We'd like it to be no wider than 670px wide

Background colour can be changed as long as it co-ordinates with the example colours.

The website will be selling stainless steel, polished chrome etc. designer appliances and deliver straight to your front door.

One of the slogans ideas we're playing with is - "www.kitchen-shopping.co.uk - the one-stop shop for all your kitchen needs" But it isn't written in stone, so feel free to play around with it.

This contest is open for 4 days :p

Please let me know if you need any more info... and have fun :p

    ADDED:
We've decided to stick with a white background - makes it easier all round :)

Whatever you think! ... you're the experts :D So long as it co-ordinates with the website colours ...anything goes :)

We're not even sure what colour the header background colour is going to be as yet, but more than likely will be white or the colour shown in example.

Is that helpful or just confusing ?

Great idea with the tap! The gray bg looks very dull against the other colours though.

    Excellent work:)

To make things easier for everyone, I think maybe I'll be better off going with a white background.

    Good stuff Tropica :) However,the site isn't selling knives & forks :p

They'll be mainly focusing on very sleek appliances as in cookers fridges etc, but we don't really want fridges n cookers in the logo :D some sort of design would be cool but not actual objects if you know what I mean? Is it called vector?

I thought a metallic effect might work but it would have to be really sleek & sharp.

    Thanks for your contributions :)

Ummm ... I guess a logo - which I'll be putting in the header. Does that make sense, I'm afraid I'm not really all that familiar with design language.

The header I'm referring to is the header space in the css :) And I've decided the background is going to be white.

Ideally I'd like the logo width to be 670px

Well a header is more a case of using the whole space, using images in the background etc, to fill it all up. A logo is obviously just your branding tool. So far, Tropica's is more of a banner/header with the image to the left whereas Mitcharr's is a logo.

Mitcharr, the white background is much better thanks. I'dlike some sort of image or design included, but not an actual photo-type image if you know what I mean :)

Ahhhh thanks for that :) OK I guess I'm looking for a logo 670 wide. I'd like it to stretch the whole width though.

woohoo that's cool, especially in the time  Love the idea. Is there anyway you can get those gradients of grey in the top left to have pale shades of colour from my example? Or would that throw it out? And is it possible to make the metal effect a little kind of shinier without being in your face?
