I am glad that Yahoo is getting into this. As opposed to Google checkeout. Just glad to see Yahoo sharing such a moment in business with another company.

Yahoo Checks Out Paypal for Payments.

Interesting bit. Mayer's reasoning in the first paragraph of his post is quite good. Bit elementary, but true all the same. Works for both companies, given the scale of their operations.

When I first saw the thread, I thought you confused Google with Yahoo :p

Something I don't understand is why they used the word checkout. I know that checkout is a bit of a normal term, but it looks like they are copying G's checkout. ( "
    ")

Copycat or not. You are right. But Copycat is a coined phrase and is not trademarked as of yet by Google. I am sure once Yahoo gets their momentum Google will sue soon enough and trademark the word checkout. Than all the supermarket chains as well........:D Than they would have to go after all the major hotel and motels that use the word checkout. So if anything at all Google Copycated. Although they use it for the payment process; well technically so do Supermarkets and Hotels if you have an unpaid bill.

Interesting. So basically, it's worthless :D

I don't feel the need to have little blue shopping carts near my listing in a search engine.
