This is the strangest thing, and I can't find much about it online. My wife and I have matching notebooks (cute, huh?) - very new, very nice. We both use them for work, so the installed software varies a bit, but nothing major. I've installed FireFox on her machine to finally move her away from IE, but I have two very strange problems on her machine: 1. The screen shakes as soon as FireFox is opened. It just jumps up and down. 2. When she uses Stumble to move to a new page, the scroll bar on her touch pad won't work. These problems exist in FireFox only, and only on her machine. Does anyone have any ideas?
Well, she's happy enough using IE7 in the meantime, but I can't stand it . Neither one of us loves Opera though.
that's prett strange. what do you mean by 'shake'? and for no.2 , gosh you need to be pretty damn observant to notice that. very intrigued.
The browsed site jumps up and down, it's insane. As far as number 2 goes, she relies heavily on the scrollbar, so she noticed immediately
Welcome to the wonderful world of FF. Everyone thinks is the best thing to sliced bread. Well for the matter IE is just as equally bad. I do run the most current version of FF and it just gives me woes as well. I only use FF for viewing web designs really or some type of graphics. And IE for search and various other duties. So I just have both installed and use with caution when coming to FF. My issue is the loading time in FF. It takes for ever to load, even after clearing caches, defragmenting etc. I guess it just varies from PC to PC and laptop to laptop.
Latest version installed, directly from the source. I've swept the notebook over and over and it contains no malicious software whatsoever.
If you have an empty bookmarks toolbar in FireFox 2.0 the pages you view will shake. To remedy this, go to View->Toolbars-> Uncheck the Bookmarks Toolbar. Look at this page for more info: How to Eliminate Screen Shake When Using Firefox Browser for Windows Good Luck
Greens in the general chat area dont count for anything FYI Yes, thank God the whole FF bandwagon is coming to a hault. FF users were getting to be as annoying as mac users. At least macs are decent computers, FF sucks AND we have to hear how great it is lol
