I guess really either gender can be good at marketting. That said, in my experience I've only known one good female marketting / sales type. I've known several men that were very good at selling to both genders.
Bias though doesn't show that men are the best. Regardless of gender there are many factors why one gender may work best at certain times.
I can't agree more with Jenn on this point - women, typically, have the gift to have a smoother and much more elegant manner in marketing. In some areas such abilities are highly rated and needed - it mostly depends on the business field, however.
And what day of the week is it and was the orange juice from Florida or California. Not to mention whether they pour their cream into their coffee with their left or right hand.
Women are naturally better at language, while men are naturally better at math, science, and 'common sense'. If you look at it as a whole, then you would need to know what kind of marketing is to be done. I would say men are better suited for the job in the long run.
Ha, no offense there, but there were studies on it and that was the general consenus from the data. Sorry, no link to the study. Just glanced at it in my psychology book a week or two back. But then again, you can't categorize everyone according to gender. I don't think there is a strong point either way to be honest.
If the orange juice was from Florida and they thought they were indeed driving a red car to the office, would this have any influence on how they answered their first call of the day? Maybe they got to work late that day, and missed that critical call, because the kettle was broken and they burnt their left hand on the gas hob whilst boiling the water for their coffee? Does caffeine influence their decision making?
I don't think that it makes much of a difference when it comes to internet marketing. We work behind a computer and alone for the most part so being a woman or a man on my opinion has very little to do with how good you are at IM. People read your words not look at your face... Ivan
