am i the only one who is applauding both INTELEX and iNfans for generosity and courage to own up respectively?

he may have done some mistakes out of miscalculated greed, but to call him scammer and wanting to burn his house down so early in the game isn't fair.

(and to those wondering, i myself have lost $600 before so i know what a scammer is)

I'm certainly not applauding anyone. "Hi, I'm so sorry to let you know that I scammed you and took your money, but I can't repay you. I'll take my banning from the board, your money, and move on."

That's effectively what he's saying. A scammer is someone who takes other people's money under false pretenses, so I don't think we are jumping the gun by calling him one. He took our money, claiming he could provide a service that he couldn't, and did not return the money.

Should we applaud his courage for posting somewhat anonymously on a message board to people he has never met and never really needs to face?

You feel like the only one good feeling Guy Devin?

Did i seem like i want to burn his house?

But let us keep our applauding for later, because at the moment someone did something unfair, someone else notify us, someone thrid banned the "scammer" which after after these was enforced to apologise?

So it wasn't an action of courage, it was the only way.
If he had admitted his own action before someone else find it out, it would really be different. And noone so far asked for his head. People behaving in different ways when they need even a few bucks and thanks God other people can realise this.

But don't tell me that i have to feel happy so far:
    - Oh guys, you found me. I took some money but someone told you this, but you know? I am sorry.
    - Ok man. Don't worry. Join the club and let's have a beer. Cheers to the guy who told us about you. Dont worry.

I don't give a **** for the 30 bucks. Trully. But i need people around me i can trust their words and rely on. This is all about.
I will be the first to applaud if he change things from now on. Although a "victim" i am offering the change.

for your information, that's EXACTLY what happened to me, and in my case it is 20 times your amount. i filed a report withe IC3, the FTC and the police department where the scammer resides.

my point being i'm saying that not "because i've never been scammed before".

i totally agree with you on this one.

i'm not saying you guys should be happy and what not, all i'm saying is that from the post of this 'scammer' (in quotations because i'm not sure yet, you guys may be right) it's not yet 24 hours. and INTELEX mentioned, if i'm not worng, that he paid a few people back their money.

i'm just being cautious because too many times i've seen mob rule taking over in DP, and the results are sometimes not very nice.

and once again, i was once a scam victim so i'm perfectly eligible to make comments.

He didn't post his confession because he suddenly saw the light. He posted because the real site owners discovered what he was doing and confronted him. If he hadn't been confronted, he would still be taking people's money fraudulently.

I have filed a paypal claim, which I will cancel if he repays the money. But I too have been the victim of fraud before, once for $2000, which PayPal did nothing about, so I understand that $30 is a small amount in comparison.

Losing that $30 isn't exactly going to stop me from putting food on my table. But I just can't believe that you want to applaud him for admitting something that he was caught doing. I'll be the first person to post here that he made good if he ever decides to repay the money, but I'm not holding my breath.

Since he's your employee you might want to take charge of his actions and refund the rest of us. Theres more people involve as you might not know this.

Send me my refund right now. I have already escalated this to a claim. I thought something was fishy when you deleted the urls from the post as soon as you sold some links. Like I don't make a note of all the links I buy and check them. I will be waiting on that refund.

I think Paypal has to claim some responsibility here if the guy doesn't sent a refund and go ahead and honor the claim. If they don't, I will have to consider giving Google Checkout, moneybookers, or some other company about $90.00 a month in fees. I am sure other people will feel the same way, and that could add up.

I sent you an email. Why don't you just refund the money from paypal from those who requested a refund through paypal via a claim. I know your account will be suspended in about two minutes, but reply to that if you can.
