Question about Buy Sell Trade section

Just wondering what was allowed as to replying posts in the Buy Sell Trade section

Say you start a thread, in the Buy Sell Trade section selling a link, if someone PM's you saying that they will take it at BIN price, are you allowed to reply to that thread telling people that?

Also if the person hasn't completed the transaction, are you allowed to post in the thread saying that if winner doesn't reply within a certain timeframe, the next highest bidder will win?

Also, are you allowed to post saying that buyer has completed transaction, positive iTrader left?

 

if someone pm you, then reply him in pm, why you need to post it.

and then, you can always edit your last post, though you have some time limitation for the editing the last post!
if you can't edit the last post, and you need to tell something important then you can post a reply! though you can get an infraction for bumping the thread,

it is suggested that, don't double post, if someone posts a reply, then you post yours! don't post back to back replies!

 

Yes.. Bidders should know when auction is already closing, who won and by how much. But you should also ask the person who buys it through PM if he wants to stay anonymous. You can always reply "Link sold through PM @ BIN".

Yes. I think it really works that way.

I think there's no need for that. But I see a lot of people still posting that.

Thanks for the replies, the reason I asked was because I ended up getting infractions for all those 3 things for an auction of a sig link on this thread http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=2847627

I received an infraction for the 3rd, 4th, & 5th last post made on the thread.

I was actually selling a sig link & Recent Blog spot. I couldn't believe that you aren't allowed to let people know that transaction was complete for one of those item & other was still available, or that you've received a PM for BIN price, or that the BIN deal fell through & it was still available to highest bidder!

So in essence, don't let people know that you have received a PM for BIN price or get an infraction, & don't let people know deal has fallen through or get an infraction

 

If you finished an auction via PM and you want it closed, just send the MODs a request to close the thread because the item has been sold. Easy as that..
