I am looking for a very experienced programmer with examples to back up there work. Mainly someone proficient in PHP and MySQL.

Person must be in the States, must have at least 5 years experience.

I have tons of work and jobs, just need to find the right fit.

    PM me if interested.

5 years experience? A 5 year experienced person must be working as project manager mate, so he will not be doing freelance stuff.

A good programmer will be writing programs for himself and make tons of money doing it, instead of writing other people's programs for crumbs.

Are you in Boulder? Post on the Rocky Mountain Internet Users Group Jobs List.

Or, I know a guy in Aurora whom I can highly recommend. What's the hourly rate?

Just have to agree with that ^, i'd rather just code than run a site (which I suck at and fail at)

And the x years experience always blocks me from work :( unless zero became a bigger number

Ok, three years doesn't sound very long. Maybe you need about 5 years to get the necessary experience.

Do you intend to stay as a programmer forever? I means grunt programmers, the kind you find in Rent A Coder doing Flickr clone for 20 bucks.

3 years are more than average by any mean. And what is the scale of necessary experience? I have worked on quit big projects in this three years (enterprise projects, not wordpress or VBulletin customization) and I think 3 year's experience is good enough.

And those who offers Flickr clone for few bucks are not actually programmer. They are just coder. Have you seen their code? No objects, no classes. Badly merged data layer and UI layer. If those coded flickr clones starts getting as much traffic as much real Flickr gets, servers will get crashed in no time.

    Thats what I think :)

Data and UI layers?! Very high standards you have :)

Nice to know that there are real programmers around. Hope your idealism will last as long as your programming career.
