Ridiculous Adwords/Adsense Connection

I mean i know they are connected Duh . . . But last week i saw just how much Google profits

    starting from

costumer paying google through adwords X amount of money

google paying adsense advertisers one fifth of that X amount

So if a costumer paid google $1 everytime someone clicks on their ad, we get average .20 cents, so on average Google makes 80% profits. Am i wrong or someone else has sen this too? Please let me know just doing some research. And if this is true then WHOW . . .

What makes you think Google only pays 20% to publishers?

Honestly i don't really know don't get me wrong but i have adwords and adsense
and it just happened for me to pay $1 per click. I put that same add on my other site as targeted site and i clicked on it myself and got 20 cents :) (Just for reaearch otherwise you have to be insane to target your own ads to your own site :)))

BTW, be careful as site targeting your own adsense site violates AdWords TOS.

Not wise to click on your own ad - anywhere, anytime...

Chances are the discrepancy comes from what one site's keywords bid for and what the other bids for. Also I believe I read somewhere (dunno where -- I read alot) that site targeted ads pay somewhat differently - somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

How would anyone in here know how what percentage profit Google makes? Let's say for example
Google needs to report earnings of XXX amount for the past quarter, and they decide that instead
of giving publishers that normally get .20
per click they will now give those publishers .10 and profit 10 more cents for their company, thus
making the XXX amount of dollars
they need, who is going to cry FOUL! Where is the contract signed with publishers that say's they
will give out __%? The truth is that
if things are kinda slow this month at Google hqtrs. they can give a publisher 2 pennies a click, and
    we can't say crap.
    - Adwords is actually the biggest scam Ever, where else can the stockholders of a company sit down
in front of a PC and generate money for themselves? I dont have any stock in Google, but do you think that if I did
have stocks in Google, every time im sitting in front of my PC I would'nt click on Mesothelioma, Lawyers,
Mortgage, Hosting ads etc.? If I owned stocks in EXXON OIL co. I would buy gas from those gas stations,
but how many gallons can 1 or 2 cars take? And so I'll ask you,
Do you think stock holders search on Yahoo, and do you think
they avoid clicking on Ads By Google?

Whatever the actual amount is, it does seem like publishers often get the short end of the stick. I've noticed that a few of the smarter site owners are promoting affiliate products instead of AdCENTS.

If I have stocks in a company that sells candy at .25 ea. Are you suggesting that while visiting the grocery store I buy another companies candy, because the earnings are miniscule anyway?Lol, funny. coming from a guy that supposedly has adsense and hopes to make hundreds from lots of .05 clicks
