Oh wait.. maybe I was vague on the topics: OK for fashion clothing, females to females (in general though!!!). For females marketing for males.. think of products like axe ;)

You can't say one is better than the other in something as broad as marketing. If anything, I could see a potential argument that males are better at the "hard sell" style of marketing, while women tend to have a knack for "soft selling."

Its not who sells that matters but how it is sold... when you say marketing it more about the product and how it is researched or packaged (even on the internet) the sex does not make any difference here. Now if you say there are 75% males marketing online i'd say that increase the chances of failures too... but then frankly it does not matter...

I think the idea question would have been who is making better and more effective sales pitches. Men or Women?

This can also be argued, it depend on how well you studied the aidience you are pitching too. If the audience prefers Aggressive males, and a male is not agressive enough and a woman is the woman will still win hands down.

Ya there may be some who buy according to the amount of clevage that shows (I am sorry for saying this... but some do that)... but higher chances that these are not something that goes through a corporate sale decision making structure.

Forget what sex a person is... concentrate on the research, the aggressiveness, the presentation, the product, customer service, communication channels etc etc etc. and in the end it will be the product that sells and not the sex of the person that sold it.

That's what I was going to say.

Generally Speaking (doesn't apply to everybody):

Men are more aggressive, which usually gets them into better deals. Men don't usually care about stepping on people's toes to get things done, they are better suited for short term campaigns.

Women are more creative, their campaigns convert better and they build relationships better. They have a better idea of the "big picture", and tend to perform better for the long-term.

I look at them like comparing SEO to PPC:

Men (PPC) - faster, more aggresive results. Costs tend to be way higher.

Women (SEO) - building relationships, acheiving greater results over time.

Again, this is very general. If I had to pick between one for hiring purposes (assuming they have identical backgrounds/experience), then I would choose a woman to run my marketing.

Women can be better than men, men can be better than women, but the thing is that many women that are better than men can't get a good job just because they're women.. I think this is where the problem is..

It´s like hiring men and women for your business for customer service. Different ways appeal to different people. Having women and men market together is probably the best way to go in order to cover more ground on the front lines.

You may not have explicitly stated your opinion but it hasn't stopped you from adding quite a lot of bias to your posts. As many have said women are generally perceived to be better in terms of social skills. You seem to think social skills would be all important, favouring women, but this need not necessarily be true.

Secondly, although I would have preferred Cypherus to have adopted a different tone you chose to start a thread on a topic you knew had the potential to become heated. As such can you really be surprised when you get a heated reply?

    The point is here

The point, as I see it, is essentially linkbait only without the links. The point is to build up the hype for this challenge Buysellmy.com plans on launching.

Finally, what's with all the short lines of text? I keep on expecting it to rhyme only it doesn't.

    Male here!

I have to give the prize to women. I just went to an interview at Microsoft and the two most important persons in the marketing security department there are women. Just look at the most successful persons in advertising as well; they are all women. PR goes to men, most definitely. Distribution is usually a men's game, because girls can't take the rigor of working in those cold ugly warehouses whenever needed. But branding and positioning goes to women as well.

Lets remember that it is about your individual skills no matter what, but there are definitely stereotypes that hold true in almost all environments.

That's why this world doesn't not evolve as it could be. We are in the 21st century and there are people stuck in the same old competition question "whois better, women or men?" we are human beings, who cares who is better... perhaps lesbos and gays :D
