if i escalate a claim, the status says 'deferred. we are temporarily unable to determine the status of your case', what does that mean?
deferred means it is put off until further investigation.. # put off to later; "requested a deferred payment"; "our postponed trip" wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn # Deferred, in accounting, is any account where the asset or liability is not realized until a future date, e.g. annuities, charges, taxes, income, etc. The deferred item may be carried, dependent on type of deferral, as either an asset or liability. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deferred
i know what deferred means in english (thanks for explaning anyway), what i don't understand is what is the difference between deferred and denied, as in paypal's response. why did they use deferred instead of denied? is there a significance? that's what i want to know.
may be the guy against whom you raised the case provided a document to paypal and they are investigating it.... may b not sure though
According to their Help https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter/m...ps=solutionPanels&solutionId=10093&isSrch=Yes Typically a dispute claim should be made within 45 days to be effective. Anything over 45 days make it harder for the claims to be accepted but in certain circumstances, you still have a fighting chance.
well, the last time i filed a claim after 45 days the status was "denied", not "deferred". anyway it has to be the second one. thanks.
