I've read a lot on the adsense forum about people making one dollar a day to $100 a day but not a lot about how many unique visitors that translates to. I know that there can't be an exact number but there must be an average, right? For instance if your website receives 1,000 visitors a day should you expect to be earning $1 from adsense? How many does it usually take?
It depends on your ad placement, your niche and your type of site (if it's a forum you'll have low CTR). Anyway, if you have 5% CTR in average, with 0,15$ CPC , you'll need 130-140 pageviews per day.
There are a lot of factors involved like placement, niche etc... I like to get over $10 /1000 page impressions.
Depends on the niche. Probably 40 to 50 unique visitors for each dollar made. So, to make $1 you need about 50 uniques a day.
I just started using adsense on hdrphotos.net this april and I get about 180 unique visitors a day and average of 800 page impressions with 9 clicks/day.. I get an average of $1.39/day not sure if this is good or not.. personally, my goal is get at least $5/day this year.. and hopefully double it by next year..
Thanks for the great replies all and I have handed out rep too! It sounds like earning a dollar a day you need between 1000 - 2000 uniques, and that the placement and subject matter makes a difference. I have taken a look at Google's hot zone map and now I can see that different zones make a huge difference as to where people will see your ads and click on them.
Yea, I agree with webmaster that it should be kinda 100 uniques. Also, guys, I will PUT AWAY adsense from my site if I will make a $1 a day with 1000-2000 uniques.
I've got 1 site that makes $1 for about every 19-21 visitors... now if I could just get the number of visitors up... 133average visitors a day just doesn't do much
thanks! i focus on some hot things and attract traffic from google, along with niche ads. so the ctr is high.
