    YOUR AGE BY EATING OUT

Don't tell me your age; you probably would tell a falsehood anyway - but your waiter may know!

YOUR AGE BY DINER & RESTAURANT MATH

    This is pretty neat.

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST! It takes less than a minute. Work this out as you read. Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out! This is not one of those waste of time things; it's fun.

    1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to go out to eat (more than once but less than 10)

    2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

    3. Add 5

    4. Multiply it by 50

    5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1757 .... If you haven't, add 1756

    6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number (i.e., how many times you want to go out to restaurants in a week)

    The next two numbers are

    YOUR AGE!

You gave it the year you were born in and you told it whether you turned an year older this year or not AND you told it how many times you go out, you don't need a cool trick for that, any five year old will tell you that stuff if you tell them all this.

Someone has explained this before as well and I could too, but I am doing something atm and couldn't be bothered to waste 10-15 minutes on this

    I'll explain that

Let the number of times you go out for eating at the restaurant be x

    x
    2x+5
    100x +250

It is at this step that you need to add 1756 or 1757

    Case 1- 1756
    gives you 100x+250+1756 = 100x + 2006

    Case 2- 1757
    gives you 100x+250 + 1757 = 100x +2007

Since most of you have two digit ages, 2007 or 2006 ( whichever is the case) minus your year of birth gives your age

Since the x number is not greater than 10, 100x + your two digit age will always be a three digit number.
