NSUSA, its actually the website that is the problem. It has very little content, frames, etc... I do not control it or I would improve it greatly. My client has informed me they are working to get a new website shortly. It should help a lot!

We were advertising our site on Google adwords and got a huge bill and not many customers. Ended up in trouble for a good few days. On the other hand Adwords must be great as lots of our competitors use it, I think the problem is that we got carried away and should have had a limit to our budget.

Bmint, Depending on what you do, Adwords may not be for you. But I would suggest trying to be very, very specific when looking at keywords.

Thanks JF I will do that the next time I decide to put my ad back up. Really gutted though, I think Google should have sales staff to give us guys a helping hand. Someone you can speak to face to face about our forthcoming campaigns. Personally I got a bit suspicious that my competitors were clicking my ad on purpose. I have not found an answer to this so far but think if I switch my ad on and of throughout the day, then they might get bored.

It would be great if Google could stop advertisers I.P. from clicking on competitors link. That would be a pukka solution and I'd feel much better knowing that it's the general public that are clicking on our ads.

    yes.
    I agree with CustardMite !
Your clickthrough rate isn't very good
Your advert isn't very relevant (are these keywords in the advert title?)and Your Can Optimization U keyword's Quality Score and U landing page .
The Gooole lowest minimum bid is merely referred out. don't worried them.
because Only when users click advertising you need to pay you??
but And the only $0.01 higher than you the next, so you only need to pay your next $0.01 higher bid ,

    For example:
If U lowest Minimum bid is :$1.00, U next one bid Min is"$0.5

so if when users click advertising u only need pay $0.5+$0.01=only $0.51

    if u still hvae Q?

    hi
I worked on ppc in 6 months. In my ppc camping I add 200 to 700 keywords. all are active. I don't face any problem. I hope adword allow max 1000 keywords in one camping. Its depend on your skill and your budget.

google did the same thing to me saying hte quality of the keywords was not good enough only i had to pay $10 per click to activate them. Then i just set those particular keywords to exact match instead of broad match and i was able to use the current bid of 45 cents. you may want to give it a try with your campaign. best of luck

Everything depends on the conversion rate you get from the adwords traffic and the revenue per transaction. There are a lot of factors to take into consideration, it's not just a matter of how Adwords converts.

As a general rule, that'll get you far less traffic, but it'll be more targetted.

In addition, I've found that Broad Match is sometimes very unreliable, due to the Expanded Matching - the keywords that Adwords bids on on your behalf can bear little resemblance to what you're actually selling/doing...

Try it, and see what happens for a week or two - you can always change it back if you don't like the results...

I'd rather go for broad matching on search terms with 2 or words, and for exact matching on the one-keyword search terms. If you go for exact matching on all the keywords you might miss some good quality traffic.

You could go for broad if you are building a list. But if you want sales then you better go for very specific keywords.

    just my 2 cents.

Im finding great profit with adwords -

but you need to consider the quality scores you get - after that its easy to get them free with a little system and common sense

Mayb should consider using all exact, phrase and broad match, it gives you three impression when people search for a term.

that's the best advice you can get! the more relevant your ads and landing pages are to the search terms, and the better your CTR's, the lower your min bids. on some of my campaigns/keywords i still have min bids of 0.01$. give them *exactly* what they are looking for and you can make a lot of money with adwords :)

Wow, This is what I was thinking exactly.
Do some research to find what are they looking for , what are their hot buttons and then provide it to them.

    bye,
