    which is better a good ranking or lots of traffic?

    for me its the traffic;

    because the main aim why you want

    to get good ranking is to get a lot

    of traffics. :cool:

    I also go for traffic...however, a good ranking can bring you MORE traffic...I guess more traffic could equal more backlinks which could also give you a better ranking, so, in the end, I guess they help each other. :D

    traffic you can get by spam, traffic exchanges or paid traffic etc! but then quality organic traffic can only be achived by good rankings in the search engines and PR.

    i think pr is very important, and that is the first think you should go for!:)

    I would personally not go for PR...PR will happen, and it will change. I have seen plenty of PR1 sites rank higher than a PR 4, 5, or 6...google changes the algorithm way to much to rely solely on PR.

    I think qualified traffic and qualified rankings are both important. Targetted traffic (not spam traffic) is the aim of all webmasters, ranking in top at google will bring your targetted traffic. However even if you rank all your keywords in #1 in ask.com, lycos, etc, but rank page100 in google, will you get any traffic?
