Just interested to know if any of you received an email confirmation your site had been listed in dmoz or you just found out for yourself.

This has been said many times in this forum, you do not receive a email confirmation if your site is listed.

Not only is it repeated here several times it's also mentioned on DMOZ....

If you've not submitted yet I suggest you read the guidelines of DMOZ so you'll not need to ask questions that have been answered. Reading the guidelines will also help to actually get accepted.

    Best of luck!

It's apparent that you haven't considered the possibility that this discussion may have been moved; I seem to remember it was originally in the Directories forum.

 Qryztufre I did not ask a question, the thread starter asked a question, and I gave him/her an answer.

Yep, there were lots of threads from people recently listed in dmoz in the Directories forum, the op was aimed at them as they'd recently been accepted. This thread was moved form there to here so is now out of context.

Actually they find out from domains whois your address, and make sure you know that your site is listed by actually knocking at your doors and telling you in person. There are no emails sent though to answer your question.

Trying to submit to DMOZ many times without success. Waste me a lot time, forget DMOZ now.

Maybe your home address is unlisted?
No wait, you said MANY times...it's clear then you did not read the guidelines. Maybe that's where the trouble is. I suggest you check them out, look over your site again, well, hope no editor has gotten to it yet.

Can I ask what site you submitted, and to which category?

Thats why. every time you submit, you just overwrite the previous one with the new date and keep moving your site back.
