One of my friends on another forum of mine earlier mentioned to me that a lot of these domains have already been bought and have parked pages on them... while i think this is highly immoral...it makes me wonder... you think these domains will make a lot via either parked earnings or sales?...
immoral indeed (in my opinion) trying to monetize from such tragic event..... I would never do it.... plus: its an event, the traffic "spike" IF any wouldn't last long in a couple of years
it's actually sort of good and bad in my opinion... i believe the purchase of them to make the huge profit off such an event is incredibly horrible...for the simple fact that I'm a pretty moral guy...though I know some aren't...obviously... but...the people that will actually buy it to make a site with it...to maybe me a memorial or something like that...i think that's a good thing...
Well... if he were to use it to fundraise money for the family's victim.. a memorial of something: that is of good use. Profit for self it not.
I always try to get a domain like that so like Stax_Daniel & 8everything said make a Memorial/Info site on the tragedy. Because I feel its an obligation as an American Citizen and I wouldn't even put ads on it except for maybe a small adsense link think ( Google: Link Link Link Link ) Just to cover the costs of the spike. But every single tregedy some a**hole who wants to make a quick profit with no intentions of doing anything!
I'd like to do something like that eventually...i'm just always paying so much attention to what's going on with the event that I wouldn't think of doing that until at least a week later...by then they would all be gone.....and plus...i'd have no clue how to even start a website like that...content and stuff like that...though i guess it'd be pretty straightforward... I don't think i'd want the responsibility of running a memorial site truthfully...not one of that size anyway.
Tasteless and inappropriate ... should only be considered if any income is to be donated to victims & their families.
Well , it isnt a major historical event , just a maniac's bad day! But it is funny how it works , one day something happens , next day people make money out of it ... But you might make a nice website and as boch said use the money for the victims families.
it's the biggest mass school shooting in history...i'd say that's a pretty major historical event... I'm not making any website ...was just asking what people thought the domains would sell for, and to see if most other people thought it was immoral as well.

I doubt those domains would get much attention without being developed. Maybe a little type in traffic, but that's it.
