Hi, Guys and Gals I am about to launch a product that use a mlm type system to it as it has referal program and such and I want to know what payment processors should i use that except credit cards and pays on time. so for since my site will be subscription based I will use paydotcom- monthly recurring payment clickbank - yearly payment I wish i could use paypal, but ebay killed that dream. I taught I could use 2checkout, but it seems that they don't like mlm type programs. What are my options. Thank you. STan
Well, Paypal prohibits the use of their system for MLM type transactions. I guess they mean that when eBay bought over Paypal, that was added to Paypal's AUP.
yep, The thing is I am not even sure my site is mlm as it will be a social networking site that has downline programs of other internet programs in it and I just happen to charge a membership fee for the service because of the networking aspect. I am going to email them (paypal and 2checkout) about it and see if I can get a pass, I just don't like the idea of them freezing my account and holding my money and since I am and average joe compared to them, I doubt I will be able to get it back eitheir if that happens.,
Try contact Citadel Commerce - I just started an MLM business and they have been helpful. They have an e-wallet to help payouts if that is what you are looking for
me and a friend are starting an mlm service too, basicley it will be[2 teir] multi level, do u say that we can't offer paypal as a payment option? btw, i think u can use e-gold.
no, you can't, Paypal hates two tier programs. but to be sure check paypal tos. I am not an egold fan. Any company that i can't fund my account directly with, I am not a fan off. Truthfully egold make no damn sense.. but that's my feeling on it.
i think u r wrong. i work with an affilaite programs like Cj that do offer a 1 teir programs and they pay with paypal. i don't use e-gold too. and that Citadel Commerce is no good as i am located in israel and my friend is in indea.
Okay then, this is you orginally asked two different things. but go ahead.. like they say live and learn
From everything I've seen, you would definitely be well advised to stay away from PayPal. It seems (from MLM forums) that although many people effectively "get away with" using PayPal for MLM-related payments for quite long periods of time, many others get their accounts summarily closed down and don't have access to their funds for some months, which sounds like a pretty good thing to avoid! I don't know what the situation is with Google Checkout, but that might be worth a look. One service that I have seen recommended for MLM payments as being very MLM-friendly is Safepay Solutions. I haven't used it myself and can't endorse it, but it could be worth having a look and asking around about that one, too. My guess is that it will probably cost 1% or so more than other, similar services, because there'll doubtless be some sort of "payment" for the MLM-friendliness.
dam... i think checks that would issued by us would be the best choice... read this: http://www.talkgold.com/forum/r90580-.html
i hear ya wounded1987 - i just called Citadel and they don't process ACH or set up bank accounts in Isreal yet but their call center said that Isreal is on their country expansion list. but if you use their e-wallet services (called mycitadel) and if your MLM program targets N. America and Europe - it might help reach your objective. s_amazan - thanks for the greeting - learning a lot so far.
Take a try with few high risk merchant account providers such as charge.com, chronopay, instabill and netbill etc.
Chronopay say on their site they dont acept mlm or anything related so I guess its affiliate programs too which is shame they look good
