Problem in MSN and Yahoo search engines, I have a good ranking in google not in MSN and Yahoo. How is that to happen? How would I do, to get a good ranking in MSN and Yahoo? Maybe the pages are not index by MSN and Yahoo.
Yahoo takes a while for inbound links to "Take Effect" as does MSN. It takes time. Also, Y! and MSN use different ranking factors. Have a read of Yahoo SandBox and maybe consider getting a Yahoo directory listing. Make sure you have a Yahoo Sitemap (Now autodiscovery) too. Ranking in Yahoo and MSN always changed, with my own observed I see that both Yahoo and MSN like site with unique contents updated regularly. List below is just my opinion, not real facts MSN - Updated content regularly - Have many different unique pages as many as possible Yahoo - Prefer more of external link much more internal links. If your site have many pages but most of link popularity are come from interlinking in site then it would be devalued by Yahoo. Use these 2 search operators to compare in Yahoo. link:http://www.domain.com link:http://www.domain.com -www.domain.com and you will see different, you may saw your link popularity so many with first operator but for second is count for external links only and you will see your real potential of your site. - In keywords not competitive, most of results look as same as Google. But in some competitive keywords, you need to update content frequently to keep your ranking on Yahoo, almost like MSN.
Google is the only one important YAHOO and MSN are bonuses But if you rank good in Google that's gold mine
I think thatis a VERY misguided view. What are you basing that on? What are your conversion rates for each engines traffic? I'm willing to bet my left hand that you do not even measure that.
both SEs are important! Some of my pages are now listed in yahoo... but still majority of my pages are not in MSN.
Google is more focus on off page optimization, like links to similar pages, while yahoo and msn are more focus on on page optimization, that's the page content. And google place heavy weight on meta description, while yahoo and msn not.
Hi Guys Every search engine have different different types of algorithm google loves to read unique content and msn and yahoo have also different types of algorithm If you want listing in msn and yahoo also then you have to permote your sites according to them you have to target every search engine b’coz every search engine is very impotent for our sites. And one more thing I must want to say : If we want traffic from UK, then first we should know that which search engine is used by UK peoples, if you are woring link this then you will get exact targeted traffic. each earch engine has their own algorythm. the keyword you use might show different result in each search engine but the things they will consider the same is no. of back links, ^^
Get more backlinks and post the URL in your forums sig since forums is the fastest way to get indexed by search engine.
I have 27,730 back links in yahoo and 0 in google, why is that I have a better ranking than yahoo... strange!!! every search engines have their own algorithm. your opinion janna122003 is merely an opinion, I appreciate it but everybody knows your method!
I think that doing more onpage optimization is better for MSN and Yahoo; with Google is harder to rank well without quality backlinks!
if i rank well in google,i would forget msn and yahoo. btw be careful to add new backlinks if you site is new.
